First Installment of the "Technology in Design" Lecture Series


The Interior Design Program is sponsoring the "Technology in Design" Lecture Series this Fall Semester. Second year design students will gain knowledge in practical and current applications of technology and design.

The first lecture of the three part series was lead by, Dusti Helms, lighting designer and owner of Mood in New York City. Helms, having designed for high-end boutiques like David Yurman, MAC Cosmetics, Eileen Fisher, Esprit, Lladro and Tommy Hilfiger lectured on the technical and aesthetic applications of lighting.

Mood, an internationally renowned lighting design firm specializes in the design and specification of interior and exterior lighting projects in the United States, Europe and Asia. Past project types include performing arts centers, boutique hotels, fine art collections, residential developments, retail stores and private residences.
